World Illustration Awards 2016 - Deadline extended!

Due to popular demand we have now extended thedeadline to enter the World Illustration Awards 2016 to Monday 22 February 2016
The best illustration work can be entered now for a chance to have it viewed by an illustrious panel of international industry insider judges and to potentially be featured in the awards publication. More details on entry requirements and benefits to entering the Awards can be found on

Work entered into the World Illustration Awards will be reviewed by a jury of distinguished and international industry professionals. The competition shortlist reflects exceptional work by illustrators currently making an outstanding contribution to visual culture.

Award winners will be announced at a prestigious ceremony in London, where selected works will be exhibited before touring the UK, as well as being showcased in an accompanying publication, which will be circulated to all major commissioners of illustration - by the Directory of Illustration to their high profile American list and the AOI to their extensive UK, European and global lists.

The Association of Illustrators (AOI) has been running for over 40 years as an organisation that represents the artistic and commercial interests of illustrators, it remains committed to maintaining the integrity of the industry as well as showcasing a range of contemporary talent.

The AOI is a non-profit trade association with a membership that includes freelance illustrators, agents, clients, students and colleges. Established in 1973, it is the leading body to represent illustrators in the UK and campaigns for illustrators’ rights, continually working to increase the professional standing of illustrators, commercially and artistically. The AOI works to improve contract and contracting practice extended to illustrators by commissioners.
